Welfare & FREEC

FREEC (stands for Food, Residential, Ethics, Environment, Campus watch):

Throughout the hall we aim to be sustainable and clean. At Bill Mo we have come up with many creative ways to carry this out. This year alone we have encouraged recycling throughout the hall, hosted a black out, hosted a veggie week where we gave out free meals. Yet, we take most pride in our very own Bill Mo Garden. We encourage everyone to get involved in the different campaigns we run.

Welfare and Diversity:

At Bill Mo we take great care in ensuring the well-being of all our residents. If you have any problems you wish to discuss, please feel free to contact our Welfare and FREEC rep.

Bill Mo is known for being THE best party hall on campus. As one of the biggest halls our events are widely enjoyed and are a great way to meet new people and socialise. We offer events such as refreshers, punch parties, quiz nights, trips to Nottingham and lots more. As the closest hall to the union you won’t miss out!

Our biggest events of the year are our Summer and Winter Balls and Bill Mo Day which were all a massive success this year.

If you are looking to socialise and have fun then Bill Mo is the hall for you.social4social3social2website social

Action is a way for students to take part in volunteering and charity work. Students can take part in projects such as IT with the elderly, dog-walking and gardening. These projects last for a few hours and is a great way to meet fellow Bill Mo residents as well as gaining new skills and taking part in interesting activities. These projects are usually weekly and you can sign up to them with your friends.

Bill Mo IMS

Each hall at Loughborough takes part in intramural sports (IMS). This is a great opportunity for students to get involved in all types of sports as well as meeting new people. Everyone is welcome to take part in IMS and can get involved in a number of sports such as:

Bill Mo Weekly

18/04/16- 24/04/16

This week Bill Mo welcomed back everyone after their Easter break. IMS boys kicked off the semester with an important football match against Faraday which they drew 2-2. The girls however pulled off a great 2-1 win in hockey against Bakewell who are 2nd in the league.

The action project this week was dog-walking which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved. Next week a gardening project will take place on Wednesday as well as the creation of Bill Mo’s very own garden taking place on Thursday. Get in touch with the committee if you are interested in helping out.

Veggie week will begin next week with the release of the animation coming on Monday, get involved!!

Lastly, be sure to follow Bill Mo on Snapchat (@BillMo-Hall) to keep up to date with all of the upcoming events.

7/03/16 – 13/03/16

This week Bill Mo hosted one of the best punch parties it has ever seen. With double the amount of punch, a shot bar, shot limbo and DBE’s founder Pasquale playing it was a night to remember. Bill Mo even found time to host a Black Out mid-way through the party. If you missed it make sure to come to the next one, you won’t regret it!

The Action project (dog walking) was cancelled this week but will take place after the Easter holiday. However, a rag raid took place in London this week and several Bill Mo residents managed to take part. Remember to sign up for an Action/Rag project if you want to be a fresher helper next year!

It was a quiet week for IMS with most of the boys matches cancelled. However, Bill Mo won both Badminton and Lacrosse this Sunday. Again, if you would like to be a fresher helper it is vital that you take part and support any IMS games. Come down to Netball on Monday 14th at 9:15

Also, our Hall General Meeting takes place tomorrow at 8, see you there!
